English Discoveries is a full immersion, multimedia language learning program that caters to all individual learning styles. The program contains Edusoft's Teacher Management System, allowing full monitoring of student progress. Content
English Discoveries contains over 1000 learning hours, and is comprised of twelve CD-ROMs, available separately, or as a complete set. The learning content is divided into five major levels. The student gets extensive practice in the four major skill areas: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Reading strategies focus on key words, connectives and reference words as well as reading comprehension. The rich multimedia video and audio capability of English Discoveries enables learners to improve their speaking and listening skills in a variety of formats, including real life dialogues, situations tests and quizzes. Learners are also exposed to the cultures of various English-speaking countries as well as different English accents. English Discoveries contains its own database of over 3,500 lexical items.
English Discovery’s advanced Teacher Management System ensures that the teacher can monitor and direct students as they immerse themselves in the language through a range of articles on topical issues, radio broadcasts, full-screen videos and animations.
